M&P Sheild original extended safety Lever. This original design is intended for the person that wants an exceptionally deliberate safety lever.  With a paddle width of over 1/4" and a length of almost 7/8", This safety lever is certainly deliberate.  The exceptional footprint offers ample area to accommodate heavy thumb engagement. For smaller handed persons this can have some positive effect toward assisting with recoil control. For larger handed persons, the contour tends to blend right into the thumb. With large radii along the profile, the chances of developing a hot spot or tender area during prolonged range times has been zero reporting's.
